Lulusmiles Development History｜Using innovative technology to gently reshape the future of dental aesthetics
Inspiration during the epidemic
During the 2022 pandemic lockdown, working from home (WFH) became popular, and the public paid more attention to their self-image in front of the video camera, and the demand for dental correction grew rapidly. According to the 2022 annual report data of Align Technology, the parent company of Invisalign, the global shipment of invisible braces reached about 2.3 million pairs; the annual report of Angelalign also showed that the demand for invisible braces in Asia increased by more than 50% year-on-year.
This wave of invisible braces craze gave founder Oscar, senior orthodontist Jiang Tielong and Philip a new inspiration: the demand for invisible braces has skyrocketed, but the price remains high, and there are limited affordable options on the market. They came up with the idea of using technology to break through this customer pain point.
2023: The Beginning of a Conversation in a Coffee Shop
In 2023, at a coffee party, three people collided to create a smile revolution. Co-founder Oscar raised a question: "Traditional wire braces are not beautiful, and there are only a few brands of invisible braces to choose from, and the high prices make people discouraged." Dr. Jiang replied: "Everyone's teeth are different. From taking tooth models, diagnosis, plan design to doctor confirmation, and then to braces production, each step requires a lot of manpower, which is time-consuming and costly." HKUST alumnus Philip proposed an idea: "AI technology has matured a lot. It can be used to fully optimize the correction process, including oral scanning, diagnosis analysis, plan design, and treatment tracking, greatly improving efficiency and reducing costs." So, Lulusmiles was born.

Lulusmiles invisible braces use the latest medical-grade TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) material, which is 100% BPA-free and safer and healthier. This unique material has excellent elasticity, durability and staying power, making it more comfortable to wear and enhancing your invisible braces experience.
To ensure the quality of braces, the Lulusmiles team strictly screened more than a dozen material suppliers around the world, and finally cooperated with the top medical-grade TPU material supplier to protect your oral health.
At the same time, Lulusmiles has been working closely with DBT Technology ®, a dental artificial intelligence company, to use the latest AI tooth correction technology, which fully covers 3D oral scanning, personalized correction design and treatment monitoring. Through advanced AI algorithms, the accuracy of correction plans is greatly improved, labor costs and treatment prices are reduced, and the invisible correction cycle is effectively shortened, allowing you to have a perfect and confident smile more quickly and easily.
2025: Breaking the veil - the first "Cloud SmileDesignSystem"
Lulusmiles uses DBT Technology's advanced dental AI orthodontic design technology, combined with an innovative cloud smile design system, to achieve intelligent management from 3D oral scanning, precise diagnosis and analysis, plan design to full-course tracking of treatment. 2024 | Joining hands with HKUST Dentistry to correct new aesthetics with technology
Lulusmiles has joined hands with the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Dental Clinic, combining the professional medical resources of the HKUST Dental Clinic with Lulusmiles' innovative AI invisible orthodontic technology to take the lead in providing convenient, efficient and affordable invisible orthodontic services to HKUST teachers and students. Lulusmiles has launched a comprehensive cooperation with Shenzhen ENO Dental Clinic. It is a high-end dental clinic in Shenzhen with complete facilities and experienced doctors.
